EG-3 Antifreeze Test

NEW Kacey EG-3 Antifreeze Test

Now available to test ALL of the Three Phases (1,2 & 3) of Antifreeze Poisoning at one (1) time in Ten (10) minutes

Description:
This is the First in Hospital Antifreeze 10-minute STAT TEST to cover all three (3) phases in the Antifreeze poisoning cycle. This test allows the clinic to determine when the animal was approximately exposed to antifreeze  poisoning even if the owner cannot determine when the poisoning occurred. In addition, it offers the clinic the necessary information on whether to administer the antidote 4MP or pursue a different course of treatment to save the animals life.

The EG-3 Antifreeze 3 Step Phases of the Poison Cycle

  • Step 1: 45 minutes after exposure up to 8-10 hours for a positive on the Ethylene glycol test pad.
  • Step 2: 9 -16 hours Positive for Oxalate & Negative for Ethylene Glycol.
  • Step 3: 16 - 36 hours for positive testing for; BUN-(High), Albumin-(Low) Total Protein-(Low) Total of 5 test parameters all in 10 minutes on a  micro sample of 20uL plasma / test pad.
